There are lots of problems with Facebook. But you probably knew that.

A very big problem is that new Facebook social reading thing. Basically some news sites have partnered with Facebook so people on your friends list know what you’re reading. I like to read some snobbish Guardian articles so people think I’m better than them. Which I am (in relation to my friends on Facebook). The problem is that I know what everybody on Facebook is reading. And I don’t fucking care. Another problem is that we just read anything our friends read, so you end up reading articles about penis drawings from five years ago or suicides at Eton in 1987. The idea of social reading is that people can share what they’re reading in the news today. Not silly offbeat stories or stories about bizarre shit from twenty years ago. I don’t fucking care.
